A good story can make a bad day brighter.

Probably I should say something profound about storytelling or the purpose of art, but the truth is, I write books I want to read.

My hope is that readers see themselves in my characters and their problems: like how Lainey Miller is determined to have a normal summer, despite being haunted by the world’s most annoying ghost. Or how Cara Hart needs to learn to trust, otherwise she’ll never pay back her dad’s debt to a notorious Chicago loan shark.

While the setting are fantastical, the characters are grounded, relatable, and flawed. But, most importantly, lovable.
